Are You a Paper Planner Person? (+ Giveaway!)

Let’s talk about paper planners. Are you a fan? I think we all know by now that am a planner by nature, and although I used to be into paper planners, I migrated to using Google calendar years ago.

Except that, recently, I’ve found my online planning usually leads to, well, online surfing. (It’s just so easy to click a new tab, y’all, and next thing you know, I’m 1-hour deep into Facebook or Shopbop or something. I need to cut back screen time anywhere I can, folks.)

I wanted to revisit a paper planner in hopes to become more intentional with my planning, and what do you know? It worked.

Enter Day Designer.

I’ve really enjoyed grabbing my planner in the morning, opposed to my iPhone. (By the way, we are in the midst of a 1-month-long-completely-screen-free period for my kids, thanks to this article. We’re 2 weeks in, and I can’t even express the difference in my children. Alas, for another time.)

My favorite aspects of the Day Designer are the little details on the daily pages, like “dinner,” “daily gratitude,” and the (always timely) quotes listed at the top of every page. And, frankly, I immensely enjoy sitting quietly with pen and paper. It’s incredibly grounding.

The monthly view is fab too – streamlined, simple, and easy to view.

Can’t help but obsess over the little gold tabs. #swoon

But! What I love best is the philosophy behind Day Designer. Whitney English, the founder, wanted a planner that utilized a simple and easy system created to help find balance, focus and productivity. Plus, Whitney (a fellow Okie!) is all about intentionality, which speaks to me on a very deep level, given the trajectory of my life the past few years.

Thanks to Day Designer, I have an A5 Luxe Leather Planner to give to a lucky winner. It’s just gorgeous, right?
