Folks, I’m just going to put it out there. I am a fan of boots. (You probably know this, however. I mean, NOT REALLY A SECRET, SARAH.) I love boots. Knee-high, bootie, over-the-knee, flat, heeled, you name it, I’m probably coveting at least 10 pairs at this very moment.
So, I’m thinking we probably should talk about the newest addition to my boot collection, this gorgeous pair of over-the-knee suede boots by Børn Shoes. (The Kathleen Boot in Marmotta, to be exact. Details, friends.) This boot is gorgeous. Will you look at that rich chocolate suede? That right there is the perfect shade that pairs seamlessly with anything, and the comfort level is fantastic.
The are a few cool things about this boot that I’d like to point out. First off, the soles are hand-stitched all the way from the toe up to the heel, which means the shoe is much more flexible to walk in AND (bonus) lasts a lot longer that shoes that have been glued together. This hand-sewn construction is actually an old world technique that Børn has been using for years. Faaancy.
Also? RUBBER SOLES. (A huge factor in the comfort level, I suppose.) But not just comfort, though. These puppies will be great during the winter, as some of my leather-soled boots tend to bite the dust.
I’m a big fan of over-the-knee boots, especially in the dead of winter when my legs tend to feel more like frozen blocks of ice than actual human limbs. I’m planning on wearing these again and again and again.
The Kathleen Boot by Børn is available at select Nordstrom retailers and nordstrom.com.
