My New Favorite Lingerie

Ladies, I don’t think I ask for too much when it comes to lingerie. I just want pretty designs that are super comfortable and affordable. Is that going overboard, pray tell? I mean COME ON NOW.

Yet, I have found it difficult to find all three attributes in one brand. That is, until I heard about LIVELY. LIVELY is inspired by what makes women sexy today; being smart, healthy, active and outgoing. Their bras and undies blur the aesthetic lines of lingerie, active, and swim, taking the best elements of high-style and comfort from each category. So here’s how I roll when it comes to bras. I have two categories – the ones I wear out and about (usually a t-shirt bra that is lightly-lined to keep the nippage under wraps, and I much prefer wireless over underwire), and the ones I wear while lounging (usually wireless bralettes). I am such a fan of bralettes – they are super comfortable and I feel like I’m wearing next to nothing, but give me a bit of support.

As a basic rule, I very, very rarely wear anything with a wire in it. These days you can find great-looking wireless bras that support you just as well as an old-school underwire bra. I am head over heels in love with LIVELY’s bralettes – the two above are my favorite. (I wear the size Small.) So very lovely and comfortable. Now, these don’t have a lining, so it’s a very natural look, if you know what I mean. #freethenipple

LIVELY’s band sizes range from 32 to 38, and I’m a happy camper in terms of fit. Although I’m technically a 30 band size, I usually go for a 32 since 30s aren’t the easiest to find, and lots of time 32 bands fit a bit loosely (like I’m wearing the tightest fastener from the get-go). But if anything, LIVELY’s bands run a tad smaller than most brands, which makes a gal like me very pleased. In fact, the loosest fastener fits very snugly on me, so I know I’ll always have a good fit as the bra stretches with time.

As for the underwear, I’ve only tried the mesh back bikini shown above, and as a member of the bubble booty club, the backside tends to slide up during the day. (This is a problem most perky-bottomed gals have in general, am I right? Oh, by the way, these are great for every day and they don’t slide up.) But, I must say, the long-lined lace bralette and the mesh bikini is super sexy worn together. So, um, maybe a date night situation? *wink wink*
