An illustrated advent calendar for families

December tends to be my busiest month, work-wise. It's also just a busy time of year, with tons of holiday things going on at school and in the community. In all of the bustle of the season, it can be hard to carve out space to reflect on something more meaningful.

For a lot of Christians, an advent calendar is a way to set aside time each day to reflect on the spiritual aspects of the holiday season. It's not a tradition I grew up with, but we started doing one with the kids a few years ago. I will confess, though - it has been hard for me to find resources that are age-appropriate and meaningful.
